GARMENT CARE

Proper care helps preserve the fit, finish, and construction of your Hood Alpha pieces. Always refer to the care label inside your garment first, as instructions may vary by style, fabric, and detailing.

TECHNICAL WINDBREAKERS & SETS

  • Machine wash cold with like colors.
  • Turn garment inside out before washing.
  • Use mild detergent.
  • Wash on a gentle cycle.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Hang to air dry when possible.
  • If tumble drying is permitted by the garment label, use low heat.
  • Do not iron directly over graphics, logos, or reflective detailing.
  • Do not dry clean.

NYLON MESH SETS

  • Hand wash gently in cold water.
  • Use mild detergent.
  • Do not bleach or use harsh chemicals.
  • Do not soak for extended periods.
  • Gently press out excess water—do not wring or twist.
  • Lay flat or hang to air dry.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight while drying.

HEAVYWEIGHT COTTON & FLEECE

  • Turn garment inside out before washing.
  • Machine wash cold with like colors on a gentle cycle.
  • Use mild detergent.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Air drying is recommended to help preserve fit, color, and fabric quality.
  • If tumble drying, use low heat and remove promptly.
  • Avoid high heat to minimize shrinkage.
  • Do not iron directly over graphics, embroidery, or other embellishments.

COTTON TEES

  • Machine wash cold with like colors.
  • Turn garment inside out before washing.
  • Use mild detergent.
  • Wash on a gentle cycle.
  • Tumble dry low or hang to air dry.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Iron on low heat if needed.
  • Do not iron directly over prints, graphics, or embellishments.

CHENILLE & PATCHWORK PIECES

  • Turn garment inside out before washing.
  • Machine wash cold with like colors on a gentle cycle.
  • Use mild detergent.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Air dry only. Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not iron directly over chenille, patches, satin, or embroidery.
  • If needed, lightly steam or iron inside out on low heat while avoiding decorated areas.
  • Do not dry clean.

WOOL & COTTON VARSITY JACKETS

  • Dry clean only.
  • Spot clean minor stains with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap when appropriate.
  • Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
  • Store on a sturdy or padded hanger to help maintain the jacket's shape.
  • Store in a cool, dry area away from prolonged direct sunlight.

WOLF SHORTS

  • Dry cleaning is recommended for best results.
  • If hand washing, use cold water and mild detergent.
  • Do not bleach or use harsh chemicals.
  • Do not wring or twist.
  • Lay flat on a clean surface to air dry.
  • Do not tumble dry.
